Crazy in Love...with Facebook!

Last month I thought I'd start a little flirtation with Facebook. Little did I know it would become a full blown relationship! Who says Facebook is only for school kids? You can be on Facebook for purely social reasons or you can be on Facebook for social and networking reasons. That's right you heard me - blogging is great, but Facebook is phenomenal when it comes to getting your name and business out there! I get to tell the world I sell Murano glass jewelry.

If you are on Facebook, look me up and add me as a friend. http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1035831088

If you are not on Facebook yet, why not? There is so much to learn and it's not only fun but rewarding.

I post this logo on my Facebook profile and all of the groups I belong to.
What a great way to get your business name out to people all over the world.

And, they have all of these applications that you can add, such as your blog. Who knew?

  3. Great post! Facebook started out really for kids, silly stuff a lot of times. In the last 2 years the business applications have been wonderful!

I coach people in Social Networking amoung other things. A lot of people are afraid to put themselves out there. They are afraid that they don't know enough people, or that people will find them and be inappropriate.

We live in a new world, and Facebook is a great place to be!

  4. Anytime you are promoting your business it takes work. But this is as simple as leaving your calling card on every post you make on FB. If you have a friend that has 1,000 friends and you leave a comment on their wall WITH your website you have just gotten "free" promotion of your site to 1,000 people.

  7. Facebook is really fun! For business, you can also create a group and then ask people to add themselves to your "fans" - it's a great way to get the word out.

  8. Facebook is great, as is linkedin or mspace. Try creating a squidoo lens as well and tell the world about your products. Lots of ways to advertise for free. You could always use adsense if you have an advertising budget. All of these are working for me and it builds traffic.
